Do you know how you will experience the internet in 2020? Looking at the figures you would know that there will be more people coming online, but how much more?
Capacity of the Internet in 2020
By 2010, there are 1.8 billion internet users according to the online analysis. And that’s almost a one-third of the 6.6 billion people who are living in this world. After looking at the rapid growth, it’s estimated that there will be 5 billion online users on the World Wide Web.
The most exiting news I heard today is that by 2020, there will be 50 billion devices connected to the Internet. That’s a huge number of connections and more opportunities to connect and do business with people from all around the world.
Are you exited about this? If you are like me, and constantly trying to find new opportunities to gain more advantages from the world-wide web, then this will make you think how you should capitalize from the booming digital economy?
There is another interesting topic which gets a lot of attention these days. It’s the augmented reality.
What is Augmented Reality?
The internet experts and Phd’s says that “Augmented reality will change the way we view the world” And it is already happening with exiting changes every single day.
The basic explanation with example for Augmented Reality can be understood by looking at the researchers and engineers who are pulling graphics out of your television screen or computer display and integrating them into real-world environments.
“This new technology, called augmented reality, blurs the line between what’s real and what’s computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell. “
Now picture yourself walking or driving down the street. With augmented-reality displays, which will eventually look much like a normal pair of glasses, informative graphics will appear in your field of view, and audio will coincide with whatever you see.
These enhancements will be refreshed continually to reflect the movements of your head. Similar devices and applications already exist, particularly on smartphones like the iPhone.
Today I found a great presentation by Jonathan Strickland called the Fw:Thinking. In this video he takes you on a tour through a living room of the future to see how this “Internet of Things” will impact our daily lives.
