How many things do you have in your bucket list which you want to learn fast ? Have your taken a moment to consider how many things you want to learn this years really fast? This article will show you how to learn anything fast.
The research suggests it takes 10,000 hours to develop a new skill. In this nonstop world when will you ever find that much time and energy? I think if you are like others you maybe already worried about the time and effort it takes to acquire new skills… In this modern-day life we do not have the time we spare or do you?
The worst thing is we all do have those big ideas and interest in learning something new every day, but we tend to put those aside because of the time investment we have to put to learn. But the regret is always bigger than the taking action now. And to make matters worse, the early hours of practicing something new are always the most frustrating. I bought a guitar last December for Christmas but after initial coupe of hours of practicing I have already put the guitar aside. Why is that? It sucks to commit to learn something we have never done before, and it’s always easy to give up.
As Josh Kaufamn says “That’s why it’s difficult to learn how to speak a new language, play an instrument, hit a golf ball, or shoot great photos. It’s so much easier to watch TV or surf the web…”
But I wanted to share some good news with all my readers Josh has written a new book called “The First 20 Hours”, and book will be on shelves June 13, 2013. At the First 20 Hours site it says in the Josh Kaufman offers a systematic approach to rapid skill acquisition— how to learn any new skill as quickly as possible. His method shows you how to deconstruct complex skills, maximize productive practice, and remove common learning barriers. By completing just 20 hours of focused, deliberate practice you’ll go from knowing absolutely nothing to performing noticeably well.
You may watch the TED presentation he gives more information, which I have shared below. Leave me you thoughts and tell what new skill are you going to acquire in the next 20 hours you are going to out down 100% focus and determination. I;m going to learn to play my first song with my guitar.
