Identify your skills, what are you good at doing, what areas you are weak at doing? If you are good at making art, study the success artist who went mainstream, how did they do, what personality did they have and how did they communicate to the audience?
Write down your skills, what areas do you want to improve? Be conscious about your strengths and weaknesses. And set a deadline, make a plan, and then work on it every day until you become comfortable selling your service or products to others.
If you are in corporate world and you suck at sales and if your boss is complaining you. Ask him “what one skill, if you develop and did it consciously in an excellent way, would have the greatest positive impact on your sales?”
Tell your boss you are willing to do whatever it takes to become the best salesman in the corporation. And if you are freelancer or running your own business, tell it to yourself and be accountable for your actions every day.
Note your skills and analyse your progress if you are serious about becoming a remarkable person in life. Big achievements in life take hard work and determination with consistency.
I remember when I first decided what I want to master in my life and the skills I need, to rapidly learn to start a side business and make money online. I saw where the digital economy is moving and I realized if I want to make a lot of money in the future I must acquire certain skills which I wasn’t taught at University of Worcester Business School.
All the main skills which directly impact to make money as an e-Business consultant and a director of a digital media agency in London are self taught through extensive research and reading. There is a long way to go for mastery and I enjoy the hustle with trial and experience.
I remember the great example from a Vishen Lakhiani’s presentation where he tell how he went from being guy with wired English accent who sucked at sales to the Director of sales in 9 months. Watch the talk and you will learn the best of ideas of becoming a powerhouse sale machine.
