This might sound little crazy and you might not even want to experience this especially if you are living in the cold weather. For those of your who live in Asia like where I grew up before coming to United Kingdom, this would not be a hard test. However if you want to experience the hardship of COLD SHOWERS, I highly advice you test it after watching this video below.
I first heard about Cold Showers while reading the “4 Hour Body” by Tim ferris, where he points out the advantages of taking cold showers, but not what you are going to listen today. I tested Colds Showers few times but gave up due the fact of un-comfort and fear of getting ill next day.
This take me back to the days how I conditioned myself to get wet in heavy rains and never got ill. When we were growing up our parents always protected us telling do not get wet from rains and you will get ill. These words were installed in our subconscious minds and after that we got ill when we know we were under the rain couple or hours back. For That reason I started to train myself by running under rain whenever I got an opportunity to step out when it’s raining. So what happened? I never got ill after the first couple of times with a running nose. Then I realized it’s our minds which makes us ill in those cases like getting wet in rain and catching a cold.
Today during my Sunday evening reading time, I found a great concept shared around the idea of taking Cold Showers. It was mentioned on my friend Tyler’s blog and hoped over to YouTube to watch the TEDx talk give my Joel Runyon who is an javelin-throwing, world, traveling, triathlete set on doing impossible things in order to tell a great story with his life.
Joel has a great story which might inspire all the young and old people who are stuck in a job they do not wish to do. His Story goes like this:
A few years ago, Joel was an unemployed college grad who decided he no longer wanted to live a boring life. He made a list of all the things he used to think were impossible and then set out to do them. Joel created the Blog of Impossible Things and works to live a life of adventure and meaning.
If that resonates with you or you just want to know how to condition yourself to do great things in life and achieve your goals without delaying them, you should watch the video till the end.
