It’s a new week and the morning looks amazing here in United Kingdom. Trust you are starting a great day and we wish you all the very best for the days to come.
Today I will share some thoughts about the question “Who will you be in the Future”? which is a question I’m looking for epic answers every day. Those are some great lessons for life.
I’ve waited several years to get an answer, but the perfect answer haven’t come yet, but I know I’m on path which will drive me towards where I want to be. I’ve read 50+ books on Life and Business and on my goal of reading 100 books in the Business to earn the very best of the business strategies from the successful entrepreneurs. I’ve tested most of those techniques with my friends, family and my clients. Some of them worked some failed, but I learned from every single action I took.
What I realized during this time is, it doesn’t matter who you are and what knowledge you have at the moment but the process of taking action and doing something give you a huge momentum for life and it helps you build reference. Because the daily knowledge, wisdom and experience you gain directs you towards success.
Getting started is hard, but once you start something and stick with it for more than 21 days, it build a habit. All you need is to sit down take some time off from you busy schedules and think about what you want to achieve in this life time. Do you have passion for some interesting hobby? Do you want to be genius in field where you see a huge potential for your life in the next 10 years? If so why not you invest the 10,000 hours rule in becoming the best of you can in that field, whether it’s Business or Sports?
Malcolm Gladwell in his world famous book Outliers, describes the “10,000-hour rule”, which he posits that it takes about 10,000 hours of dedicated practice to truly master a skill, be it playing the violin, computer programming, or skateboarding. he shows some great examples of the people who had made a great future for themselves and others by investing time to build their passions and skills to the highest standards they could.
Gladwell brings forward the names like Bill Gates, Beatles and many more who thrived to master their skills. he argues that it’s not their talent or luck which made their names so big but the dedication and hours they put into build their master piece. In this book he gives an empowering message to all the readers by showing anyone can success and create an amazing future if they put in the time to do so!
One might argue there should be LUCK or you family and network connections but I would tell you people get more luckier when they invest time to build their knowledge and create a future for them.
LUCK = LABORING UNDER CORRECT KNOWLEDGE -> so you see the pint here. You can basically create your future to be LUCKY by working that 10,000 hours in your identified field. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn some great examples and the 10,000 hours rule to read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.
I recommend this book after reading it several times and I hope all you Futuristic Entrepreneurs would greatly benefit from this book. Also one of the other things which will greatly benefit for you to reach you future is visualizing what you want to be and where you what to be.This is a techniques I used to reach my goals in academics and come change my locations where I was form. There is great website I read today which explains about Quantum Jumping. New theory for my but the I have been practicing the core essence of what Burt Goldman teaches in the site.
So go out there and absorb the principles for success from the environment and listen to the nature call and take action to build a great future. The stories you read may inspire you with tales of success, and what you need to do is examine how you can make them yours and create the FUTURE you deserves.
That’s my final thoughts for you today, and let us know your ideas and how we can help you build a Future around your passions.
Note: Now the there is faster way to learn anything you want and it’s the 20 hour speed rule by Josh Kaufamn which I covered in my previous article. This might be contradicting, but keep in mind that to become an expert it needs more hours. However to learn anything to a satisfactory level it needs 20 hour according to Josh and he has proved in his presentation.
In last week by continuously running every single day I have come a level where I can easily do a 5 mile run without much effort. Also by writing every day for various bogs has given me a flow which I didn’t have before.
Try to keep track of your time, monitor every hour you put in and see quickly you can achieve those skills and even keep a journey of those long hours you put into become the person you want to be in the future.
Hope you all will start thinking right now on “Who will you be in the future”? and how big you want it!
