Blogging on the World’s best online content platform…
WordPress has been my number one choice when it comes to blogging and developing online platforms. The easily manageable content management system and the plugins WordPress has provided the user, has given me a great advantage in saving my time when it comes to publishing articles on the go from my smart phone or iPad.
There are lots of blogging platforms out there, but only WordPress gives an all in one solution for all our blogging requirements. Nowadays more and more websites has started to build their sites using the WordPress framework. All my sites run on WordPress and I always explain my clients about the advantages of going ahead with this platform for greater advantages when it comes to search engine optimisation. Normally I use a framework like Genesis framework by StudioPress for most of my WordPress Web/blogs.
The Thesis framework also works perfectly on all the WordPress platforms and in my early days I used Thesis for some of my clients work, but with the price and their tight regulations or DIY Themes, such as “I can only use one license on one online Website/Blog” has limited my influence in suggesting my clients about using Thesis for their blogs and other content platforms. However if you check the DIY Themes website, you can see who uses the framework and how you can also reach a similar level of appearance for your blog or website.
Some of the other reasons I like WordPress is because it gives you the greatest variety of themes, plugins and services of any blogging platform. Best of all, WordPress is open source and free for your lifetime use. That’s one of the reasons I used WordPress to design the Carlton Leisure Blog last year when I was asked by the Carlton Leisure management to develop them a travel blog in the most efficient method and under a tight budget. I just purchased the domain name carltonleisureblog.com through the WordPress name registration option and downloaded the theme from Splendio by DesignDisease and designed the blog in few hours. But it’s hosted by wordpress.com so there is a some limitations when it comes gaining more SEO advantages and some great designer options.
So what I’m recommending here is the self-hosted version of WordPress, not the hosted wordpress.com version as I have used for the Carlton Leisure Blog. That means the software runs on your servers (like at HostGator, see on the right hand side of this blog if you want to see more about their hosting platforms and other options. **If you click my link to purchase I will get a small commission for my online business free contributions which I do for selected new starters.) and you’re in complete control over how you use it, and what to install. Most importantly, you’re in control of your data instead of some other bigger entity who can change the rules at any time.
That’s why I normally recommend anyone who has a passion and want to build an online business or an amazing blog to get started on WordPress.
These are three of most recent blog/Websites we did at Futurist Business, which were done using the WordPress platform and I used the Genesis framework for Tadas’s blog this Blog, you are reading right now:

Have a look at those sites and drop me some feedback about what you think or let me know if you need some help in getting your first WordPress self hosted site up and running in shortest possible time.
